Why Are Female Athletes Some of the Best Students on Campus?

Kelly Hunter - two-time National Champion, All-American setter, PrepVolleyball.com National Player of the Year in 2017 - started a typical day as an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during the season at 7:30 a.m. with a workout. Then classes. Next, lunch. If there was time before practice, she'd try and take a quick nap.

Huskers' Good Plays Are Bigger in 2017, But Efficiency Still Lags

It is pretty obvious Nebraska's offense has been less successful this season compared to the previous two under coach Mike Riley, something not many anticipated. Through six games in 2017, the Huskers' offense has a success rate of 40.14 percent. At this same point last season, it had a 48.53 success rate, more than eight percentage points higher.

Huskers Seeing Declining Returns in the Screen Game

Screen passes have been responsible for a decent portion of Nebraska's passing game since coach Mike Riley and offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf arrived in Lincoln, but the numbers of attempts are steadily decreasing. In 2015, nearly 18 percent of the Huskers total pass attempts were screens plays.

After diplomatic issues, former Huskers compete on Team USA in Iran

On Feb. 3, a ringing phone awakened Jordan Burroughs early in the morning. Half asleep, he answered. The coaches told Burroughs, Green and the other 11 wrestlers to continue training. There was still a possibility the team could go. "At that point we knew we could go," Burroughs said.
