William W. Flomo

My name is William W. Flomo, a Liberian media and communications professional, graphic designer, journalist, and youth leader passionate about storytelling, education, and social impact.

My work focuses on using media, communication, and creativity to inform, inspire, and create opportunities for young people. Over the years, I have built experience in journalism, digital media, graphic design, public relations, content creation, and organizational leadership.

I currently serve as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Desk Diary (DeD), a student-centered media and storytelling platform dedicated to ensuring that students are seen, heard, recognized, and inspired. Through Desk Diary, I lead a growing team working across Liberia to amplify student voices, celebrate achievements, document inspiring stories, and create meaningful connections between schools and communities.

Beyond my professional responsibilities, I have contributed to various local and international programs through volunteerism, youth leadership, application review processes, communications support, and mentorship opportunities. My experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of education, leadership, and service as tools for lasting change.

I am committed to continuous learning, innovation, and creating platforms that empower others. Whether through media, design, journalism, or leadership, my goal is to use my skills to make a meaningful impact in Liberia and beyond.
