Catholic, husband, Dad, photographer. Four words. I could add more, but I've kept it to these four, in this specific order, to say something definitive about who I am and what I consider important.

Catholic is first, because I was baptized one, and I try my best to follow what the Church teaches. I go to daily Mass, pray the Rosary, and practice Eucharistic Adoration. I would like to become a saint, not the officially recognized kind, but someone who manifests the fruits of the Holy Spirit in daily life. Husband is second, because while I did not choose the family I was born into, I chose the woman I wanted to start a family with. Dad is third because becoming one has made me a better person. Fourth, I discovered somewhat late in life that, more than any job I've ever had, I enjoy photography, and I want to get better at it. My most famous subject was Mikhail Gorbachev, whom I photographed over a four-day period on assignment for the University of Calgary.
