I also currently write for Baseball Prospectus, preparing weekly scouting reports via in-person and video scouting for players in Minor League Baseball's California League. Healdsburg council accused of racial discrimination over vaccination requirement to attend...

The Healdsburg City Council was accused of racially discriminating against one of its members this week after she was not allowed to attend the council's regular meeting in person because she is not vaccinated against COVID-19. The council returned to in-person meetings Monday with a requirement that people in attendance be fully vaccinated, while those not attending in person could continue to participate virtually.

SANTA CLARA >> Shortly before competing in the men's 100-yard backstroke, Soquel High swimmer Nick Porter called his shot. "He told me he's going to win it," Aptos head coach Jim Triplett said. Triplett trains Porter with his Aptos Cabrillo Swim Club and called the senior one of the most confident swimmers he's ever worked with.
