Umanga Perera

Communications Officer | Researcher | Freelance Copywriter

United Kingdom

Hi! I'm Umanga, a transplant from Qatar AND Sheffield! I thrive on working with different clients and have had the pleasure of working on a load of wonderful projects - from helping create a character for a 1920s mafia card game, producing a national print campaign during FIFA 2022 AND helping my best friend get her debut single covered on Rolling Stone India. I have also been commissioned by Wanderlust for travel articles all about Qatar.

Right now I'm working with Migrant-Rights.org helping their content creation for socials and putting together their Abuse Map Database. I've also been a part of their submission on Qatar and Kuwait for Cycle 4 of the Universal Periodic Review.

I'm also a part of Word Tonic! A community of young copywriters who are figuring out the art of the word from companies like Lego, Google, and Duolingo.

Have a look through my work and drop me an email if you would like to work with me -

All the best,
Umanga > [email protected] :)
