Thomas Gladysz

Author, arts and entertainment writer

United States

I am the author of four books, the editor of another, and a long-time free-lance writer specializing in the arts and entertainment. My interests include early film (including the silent film star Louise Brooks), the visual arts, books / authors, and retro popular culture. Past work has been published in the Huffington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Film International, Pop Matters, LitHub and elsewhere. Other work has been collected in books published by HarperCollins, National Gallery of Art, and a few university presses.

I began writing for my college newspaper, and have since turned out a few thousands articles, reviews, columns and interviews for various newspapers, magazines, and the web. I've worked as a book reviewer, contributing editor, and art critic for a regional wire service. I am a blogger, and have contributed to literary journals, trade journals, festival programs, ‘zines, and the alternative press.
