Tamsen Peake

Copywriter / Press Officer / Marketing Executive

I'm a self employed copywriter based in West Bridgford, Nottingham. For the past few years I've been doing copywriting part-time whilst juggling the care of my three young children. Now my kids are at school and pre-school I'm in a position to take on more work. I'm keen to continue developing my copywriting skills and portfolio and, in the long-term, to work for a design agency.

My most recent projects include writing copy for two websites; Ellen Tobin Photography and Lady Bay Pre-school, and editorial for Susan Entwistle, a local artist I worked for on an ad-hoc basis. I manage the Lady Bay Pre-school website, and I use social media and email campaigns to market my Stella & Dot jewellery business. Take a look at my portfolio for more details.

Susan Entwistle
Painting the Modern Garden Editorial

I currently work for Susan Entwistle on an ad-hoc basis. My most recent assignment was to write an editorial piece about Susan and her art business tailored for house and garden lifestyle magazines.

Savills Press Release

I've written a range of material for Savills including property editorials, press releases about the company and small adverts. These were published in the Nottingham Evening Post's property supplement, City Life and 69 Magazine among others.

I run my own jewellery and accessories business and recently set up my own dedicated page on facebook. The status updates and photography will give you a flavour of some of the branding and advertising I've been doing online.

Portrait, Family, & Commercial Photographer - Nottingham

Ellen Tobin Photography, for relaxed Family Portraiture and Commercial photography in Nottingham. The brief for this website was to create a relaxed and friendly tone while at the same time retaining a professional image.

Lady Bay Preschool in West Bridgford, Nottingham

We are a community based pre-school established in 1968. We aim to provide the highest quality care and education for all our children, by working in partnership with parents and the community. We offer up to 30 places a day for children aged 2 to five years old.

Nottingham Evening Post
The Windmill

This was one of the editorials I wrote for Savills estate agents. I had quite a few editorial pieces published while I was a Sales Negotiator there, mainly for the Nottingham Evening Post's property supplement. Writing was my favourite part of the job, to the extent that my boss once remarked that she wished I'd spend more time selling houses rather than writing about them! I often ended up writing these sorts of pieces in my spare time.
