Walking away

There was a time when football fans across the country pegged Mustangs quarterback Will Finch as the next great Canadian quarterback, destined to make it big in professional football. Those dreams are now gone. On Thursday afternoon, the Burlington, Ont., native announced his retirement from the sport.

New early athlete registration period gives athletes first pick at courses

Every upper-year Western student knows how frustrating course registration can be, especially if you lose the lottery and end up with the last possible time slot. The months of June, July and August induce students' stress far before the school year even starts, and while the chaotic song and dance that is course registration has become common to you now, the normality of it is still frustrating year after year.

Broad and Campbell offered contracts by NWHL

If you're a fan of Western's women's hockey team, then the names Kendra Broad and Kelly Campbell are definitely ones you've heard before. But they were also close to being names you wouldn't see again on the Mustangs roster after they were offered contracts to play in the National Women's Hockey League earlier this summer.
