From small startup to corporate to higher education, I have over seven years of experience writing and editing in fast-paced environments. I’m a passionate storyteller dedicated to doing every story justice, no matter how big or small.

I believe a great writer is an even better listener.

I believe in the musicality of a sentence. The melody matters. The rhythm informs.

I enjoy hiking, biking, paddling and generally exploring southern Appalachia. I’ve also picked up some new hobbies like taking care of my backyard flock of ducks and chickens and working on my green thumb.

'Artists will always find a way'

UTC Theatre Company's next show is a 2020 take on the classic Greek play Antigone coming later this fall. The show will be pre-recorded by actors in their homes and streamed like a Zoom meeting with everyone participating from their own virtual squares.

Therapy en Pointe

It's a Tuesday night and the studios at Chattanooga Ballet's location in North Chattanooga are brimming with dancers. Music trickles into the halls and the occasional instruction from a teacher can be heard clearly over the rhythm of feet on the floor.

UTC Theatre Co. recognized for diversity of playwrights in season productions - UTC News Releases

The International Centre for Women Playwrights (ICWP) recently awarded their 50/50 Applause Award to UTC Theatre Company. According to ICWP, theater companies honored with the award support and recognize women playwrights equally to their male playwright counterparts. They bring female-written productions to stage just as often as they produce male-written works.
