The Great Escape 2025 - Review

From our (read landlord's) cloudy kitchen in Hackney, we can barely believe Brighton was so pleasant this time last week. Inclemency in the past has always guaranteed full shows for all, all day long, but with over a decade of attendance in, we're never going to complain about the sun. The notes we took during this year's Great Escape were scattered throughout our phone: 2am abbreviations, various screenshots and untitled clips of shows we clearly enjoyed - all now decoded for you below....

Providing young womxn with such positive studio experiences has been a real pleasure - as has hiring the engineers, producers, mastering engineers, mixers and studios around the U.K., some of whom now have their first solo prod credits. I was brought in by Festival Republic back in May ‘23 to assess and rebuild their old programme, provide real...

The Great Escape 2025 - Preview

We don't want to jinx it, truly, but have you checked the weather app for next week ..? FULL SUN, across all four days. Given we've been hosting stages (RIP Sticky Mike's) shooting sessions or working at TGE in various professional guises for 13 years now, the forecast feels a little too good to be true.

The Great Escape 2023: Preview

It's that time of year again: the venues might have different names, the old showcases replaced with something new. The Great Escape though, along with the continual threat of rain in Brighton, remains reliable as ever.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2021 - Staff Picks

Since its initial inception in 1911, International Women's Day has grown to be a globally recognised force for change. Heavily and necessarily politicised for the last century, 2021 sees a continued focus on raising awareness of enduring inequalities; highlighting the wealth of barriers to growth, economic stability, and to basic personal safety that many women and gender minorities face every day.
