The Period Project
Driven public relations professional that possesses an array of communication skills whether in person, over the phone, through email, social media platforms, or in written form. Great at building relationships across generations and can effectively work with people from colleagues to clients. Learned leadership qualities at a young age as a self-starter by creating a student organization in college. This honed the ability to effectively take on numerous large projects while being flexible and working in high stress environments. In the length of a tweet? An outgoing public relations, social media using, content writing, and event planning #girlboss that blogs on the side. I get stuff done.

It was another magazine article that did it. I had just finished reading "Period Power!" by Sara Austin from the December 2016 issue of COSMOPOLITAN and I had that same big feeling I did when I was inspired by SEVENTEEN's article about Beauty Peace Day that led me to create and found BUILD Beauty at...

If you are just about anywhere in the United States, you could say it's been cold - really cold. Much of our country has been experiencing extreme freezing temperatures, loads of ice and piles of snow. And we have been feeling it here in Kansas City this year, right?

1. Have a goal for multiple areas of your life. What are areas in your life are you wanting to improve? It could be: I want to work out 3-5 a week. I want to drink 8 glasses of water a day. I want to journal at least once a day.
The 5th annual Brew at the Zoo, & Wine too at the Kansas City Zoo will benefit rhino conservation efforts.
Today's college admission process involves much more than good grades and test scores. Parents and their children need to be thinking about their strategy well before senior year if they intend to compete for an acceptance letter to the college of their choice. The biggest key is to stay strong from start to finish.
In high school and college, students are taking in loads of information. They're learning the Pythagorean theorem, classical conditioning with Pavlov's dogs, the theory of relativity and much more. They could probably tell you all about ecosystems and the anatomy of the body, but they may have no idea how to make a budget.
Every February, consumers are typically inundated with hearts whether it's about Valentine's Day or American Heart Month. It's the time of year when we tell the special people in our lives how much we love them, as well as learn about heart attacks and heart disease.
Around the holidays, there are a variety of bells that we have come to know: sleigh bells, jingle bells and the charity bells. Every year you walk past the bundled-up volunteers who are ringing their bells and greeting strangers in hopes that you will feel moved by the spirit of the season to support their cause.
We've all heard the phrase "Time is money." It's generally accurate, but consider an alternative proposition: Time is more valuable than money. Money can multiply, but time can't. Beyoncé's empire wasn't built in a day and a business doesn't usually launch in 24 hours either. Being an entrepreneur is an exacting and time-consuming effort.
"Magazines have always been a big part of my life. I still have issues of publications that do not exist anymore such as YM and CosmoGIRL! that have teenaged Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on the covers. I've grown up with magazines and still have subscriptions.
Stop comparing! One of the easiest things to do is to compare ourselves to another person. One of the hardest things to do is to compliment that person after we've just compared ourselves to them.
Rachel Marshall in Wellness Blink 182 taught us in their song, "What's My Age Again?" that "nobody likes you when you're 23." Now that I am in my third month of being 23, I realize maybe it's not that everybody hates you when you are 23, but 23-year-olds themselves simply hate being 23.
