Video games are meant to be a challenge (usually)-that's what makes them fun (usually). But sometimes, we come across sections of the game which push us too far. You know what I'm talking about-when you die so many times, the "Game Over" noise triggers a Pavlovian response in you for the rest of your life.

Recently, I had the opportunity to see The Oregon Trail. Not the game itself, but the play by Bekah Brunstetter. I'd never heard of the play until a friend of mine informed me that it was playing at a theater in our town.
I have to admit, I'm a little embarrassed when I, a grown woman at the ripe age of 25, tell people that one of my favorite games is American McGee's . It definitely has connotations of early 2000s mall-goth culture.

been reading a lot about "irony poisoning" and thinking a lot about this. coming to terms w/ the fact that i have been extremely Irony Poisoned Online over the course of... 10 years??? and i going to try to heal myself of this.
If i had known it would have been the last time we spoke, would i have said the things i said?& if i had known it would have been the last time i saw u, would i have taken one more look at ur face to make sure i could remember?
i told myself i would stop being irritated at this, but i am STILL seeing stuff about "you can't be a lesbian and bi" or whatever on my TL and i think i'm gonna mute the word "lesbian" for a bit & trim my following list soon.
