Last week I had the privilege of attending an event celebrating the launch of Sister Souljah's most recent release "A Moment of Silence" at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Hosted by the Mayor of Newark and a longtime friend of the author Ras Baraka, the event was an opportunity for the community to come together in appreciation for Sister Souljah's works and the positive message behind them.
