Mostert's Bathurst win is the best thing to happen to V8 Supercars in quite some time

While most 22-year olds are at home eating pizza and playing 'Call of Duty', Mostert just won 'Australia's Greatest Race.' When I think back to when I was 22-years old, I think of a fat redhead who liked to stay home and play video games, wanted to be a rockstar (and more or less acted like one) all while delivering pizza's to bring in money which would be used to buy even more video games.

Jamie Whincup ... The Ayrton Senna of V8 Supercars?

The question alone sparks mounds of controversy. Aryton Senna, the legendary Formula 1 driver who was one of the most dominant drivers of his time. A time, I might remind you, when some of the greatest Formula 1 drivers ever were at the peak of their powers.

Mark Winterbottom: A strong driver or loose cannon?

The FPR driver has never had a moments doubt about taking a risk to go for a win. But when does it cross the line? It was at Phillip Island last year as the sun was setting on the 2013 championship season that Ford Performance Racing (FPR) driver, Mark Winterbottom, was involved in a much disputed and controversial dust-up with Craig Lowndes of Racing Australia.

V8 Supercars need Marcos Ambrose

It's no secret that Marcos Ambrose, the two-time V8 Supercar champion, is possibly the greatest NASCAR road racer that's ever been. However, outside of two Cup wins and five Nationwide victories (all on road courses), he isn't typically in the spotlight. In over 200 starts, Ambrose has never brought home an oval win.

Gen2 regulations speak of parity but will it actually work?

New manufacturers and more international attention is great, but will it really work as planned? From the announcement that Ford will be departing from V8 Supercars to the release of the 2017 Gen2 regulations, it's been an active week in the land down under.

DJR/Team Penske dropping second car, will only run Ambrose

The newly reformed Dick Johnson Racing (DJR)/Team Penske will drop its two-car operation and will run just one V8 Supercar for 2015 driven by the returning champion, Marcos Ambrose. Volvo marketing VP: "Motorsport does not conform with our brand"

Change is coming to the Volvo brand and, unfortunately, it doesn't involve motorsports. Hot on the heels of Ford's recent announcement that they're withdrawing their support for V8 Supercars, the Volvo Global Marketing Vice-President, Alain Visser, appears to be following suit.

Let's Catch Our Breath

To say my head is constantly in the clouds would be a drastic understatement. Part of being a creative in any sense is that ones mind tends to do its own thing from time to time. Being a filmmaker and writer, however, oftentimes proves to be both a blessing and a curse.
