I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2020 with my bachelor's degree in mass communications, journalism and a minor in creative writing. I've been involved in some organizations; Lambda Sigma National Honor Society, I Am Boss and Pembroke Activities Council (PAC). I'm also the V.P. of Media and Marketing for the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and the former Campus Life Editor of UNCP's newspaper, the Pine Needle. I was a former staff writer intern for The Laurinburg Exchange and I was also a returning communications intern for Volunteer of America. I'm currently the Assistant To The Editor Intern for ENSPIRE Magazine.
I'm passionate about writing in the media and perfecting my writing skills through class and writing for the newspaper. I also take pride in volunteering on and off-campus. Giving back to the community is another skill to help me in becoming a journalist. I've also taken up creative writing courses and developed different ways to write stories.
I'm currently a graduate student at Norfolk State University studying media and communications.
