I'm an integrated communications leader who helps solve crucial and complex communications challenges through relationship building, results-driven content, media relations, executive messaging, employee engagement and crisis management.
Working as a journalist at the start of my career coached me to connect with people and accurately write and edit the stories they hold near and dear. It also gave me a solid education in how to distill complex information into digestible content.
My professional experience includes working in content creation and corporate communications roles at Fortune 500 companies such as DaVita Kidney Care, startup companies such as Strive Health and Active, publishing houses like Elsevier, news outlets such as The San Diego Union-Tribune and holistic wellness businesses like The Chopra Center, which was co-founded by Deepak Chopra.
I have a bachelor’s in communications from San Diego State University. I'm fluent in Associated Press style, however I've also created and worked within the guidelines of many in-house style guides.
Being a San Diego native, I love to be by the ocean. However, I feel fortunate to now call Denver and the extraordinary Rocky Mountains home. When I'm not writing or editing, I'm in the yoga studio, on a trail or bike, in the kitchen creating recipes or on an adventure to an interesting place. Most recently, my husband and I traveled throughout the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
