I'm a freelance and contractual writer, editor and proofreader for Edward Jones. I have a lot of portfolio pieces from my time here, but a good one to get an idea of scope of work would be the new website www.edwardjones.com. On the content development side, my team (Creative Services) was tasked with writing the content for each page. We were each assigned sections of the overall site to write. For example, Insurance & Annuities. I oversaw my pages from the first draft all the way through...
Another fun project was being hired as a freelance writer for SSM Health's website redesign.
Sales collateral to make recommendations of nutritional specialty products for the dairy industry.
Direct mail campaign playing off the idea that sometimes "nothing" actually means something.
One of my favorite portfolio pieces is the SLUCare cancer website. For this project, Advertising Savants (http://www.adsavants.com/) hired me to rewrite all the copy for their website redesign. SLU has since redesigned the website, but you can see some of it by following this link: http://www.adsavants.com/ourwork.php to Advertising Savants' portfolio. I still have hard copies of the original drafts, which are available upon request.
A local advertising agency, Paradowski Creative (http://paradowski.com/), hired me to work on one of their projects for Monsanto. I was able to be the Editor/Proofreader for Monsanto's Spring 2014 Progress Report, and I had a great time working with the folks at Paradowski!
In role as the editorial coordinator for the Catholic Health Association, some of my duties include writing executive summaries for our scholarly journal, Health Progress, our “Keeping Up” column in our bi-weekly newspaper, Catholic Health World, and our weekly email news updates, “Digest.” Digest is also featured on our website(http://www.chausa.org/publications/news-release-digest). You can see samples of these publications by visiting the Catholic Health Association's website...
I've been able to work on a few projects with Goldfarb School of Nursing, but here I've attached their 2013 magazine, for which I wrote a few articles. I've worked as a writer for Goldfarb on several projects.
Mary's Pence is a charity I worked with for a long time, and I did a variety of work for them. I've attached one of their bi-annual newsletters - in this project, I was the editor, proofreader as well as the graphic designer.
