Thought Leadership Content (Public-Oriented)
I am a dedicated medical writer with 8 years of research experience in brain disorders and pharmacology. I value authenticity and scientific accuracy, and bring this mindset to every piece I write.
I specialize in transforming complex scientific and clinical information into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content for healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public.
My portfolio includes regulatory documents, patient education materials, and plain-language science communication.
Please feel free to explore my writing samples below.
Thought Leadership Content (Public-Oriented)
A blog post combining personal storytelling and scientific insight to explore the complexities of Alzheimer’s disease, including its biological underpinnings, real-life impact on families, and emerging directions in diagnosis and treatment.
An informative blog introducing a therapeutic innovation in schizophrenia treatments to non-expert audiences. I did extensive research on the topic, wrote the content and sought feedback from expert professionals to create this educational blog that has attracted views from several countries.
Patient Education Content (Patient-Oriented)
A brochure mockup designed to educate patients about major depressive disorder in a clear, compassionate, and accessible way. It covers symptoms, risk factors, treatment options, self-care strategies, and global support resources. The content was developed to reflect patient-centered communication while maintaining medical accuracy.
Regulatory Affairs Content (Peer Professionals-Oriented)
A deliverable package created as part of the 2025 Industry Team Case Study (ITCS) program in collaboration with two teammates. We developed a Health Canada regulatory strategy to support Priority Review Approval for AQNEURSA™, a novel treatment for Niemann-Pick disease type C (NPC). Four pages from an engagement meeting slide deck introducing a team project simulating a regulatory submission process for Priority Review with Health Canada. In this deck, I highlight key regulatory deliverables (e.g., CAP, timelines, presentation), explain how the project aligns with core responsibilities in the regulatory affairs sector, and illustrate its cross-sector collaboration with other functions in a pharmaceutical company.
Scientific Content (Expert-Oriented)
A slide introducing major depressive disorder (MDD) that targets researchers and healthcare professionals. This is one page of the slide deck I created to present my research project findings to experts in neurology.
A research paper showing the effects of the antidepressant ketamine and its metabolites in mouse brains. The paper targets specialized experts in neuroscience.
News & Events
An announcement email unveiling the 2024 SWCC Book Awards shortlist, celebrating Canadian science writing in both the General and Youth categories. I drafted the text content, emphasizing concise messaging and a compelling call to action to explore the full shortlist.
A blog I wrote for the Life Science Career Development Syndicate (LSCDS) website. When transitioning from academia to industry as a recent graduate or postdoc, one might wonder if what they learn from academic life could be applied to a career path requiring skills beyond their experience. Here, I wrote a recap of a career development workshop, helping trainees in life sciences understand their transferable skills for industry jobs.
A page from 1 out of 18 newsletter issues that I have produced together with other communication committee members in my Ph.D. research institute. On this page, I wrote an event recap and edited a Q&A session to solve doctoral trainees' inquiries about Ph.D. Final Oral Examination.
