When I started my college career, I had no idea which direction I was going to take. I tried out a few different degree paths, including education, business operations and environmental science but none of them felt right. I eventually realized that I enjoyed creative thinking and had a talent for writing and finally landed on a degree in communication. Now, I’m a graduating senior and am excited to start my first full-time job as a content writer.
Even though it took me a while to figure out my true path, every job and course I took helped me build a very well-rounded set of skills that I’m able to apply to my life. Whether I delivered orders in a box truck or recruited entertainment for the Ohio State Fair via cold calls, these things helped me shape my ability to communicate effectively with others.
In my spare time, you can usually find me wandering through the woods on a nature trail identifying plants or splashing around in a creek. I am currently working on visiting every U.S. national park. If I’m not outside, I am snuggling with my 7-year-old black and white cat, appropriately named Moo.
