This week we're talking destination weddings! Not mine - I'm getting married nearby and will spend the days leading up somehow repeatedly ruining my manicure instead of lounging on the beach. But destination weddings are everywhere!
So booking room blocks is the worst part of wedding planning. Other than making your seating chart probably, which is what everyone says is actually the worst part of wedding planning. Branding
New Bloom Creative was a boutique freelance creative firm specializing in writing and design. I wanted the website to feel fresh and fun while at the same time hitting home the idea that we were talented, passionate professionals.
Our Creative Services page listed out the job types we offered, while also explaining how we tackled and followed through with projects from start to finish.
Our "Why to Call" page laid out concrete reasons why clients should hire us, and presented them in a fresh, conversational tone.
I structured our twitter account in much the same way - with tweets that combined a fun, casual voice with links to useful industry news, tools and inspiration, and articles.
Brochures
In 2010, we undertook a massive rebranding of our brochures. Beginning with the 2010 USA brochure, I was tasked with rewriting our brochure line with a more casual, magazine-type approach to better appeal to consumers.
In writing our newly rebranded Caribbean brochure, I focused on differentiating each of the 18 different islands we offered based on unique selling points and specific points of interest for key demographics.
Our European brochure aimed to expand the company's portfolio to destinations considered "emerging markets" including Greece, Turkey, Portugal, and Germany.
For our Luxury brochure, my goal was creating tactile, sensory experiences in order to paint a picture of an abstract theme for readers.
