Award-Winning Journalist

State Journal-Register/Copley Illinois Newspapers
National first-place award for statehouse reporting

I won first place in the prestigious beat reporting category from Capitolbeat, a national association of journalists covering state politics. There is always a battle in Illinois between Chicago and "downstate" -- the rest of the state. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch copyrighted this investigative piece.
