A series of short monologues, centred around recovered journal entries of two young adults after one of them is suspected to have murdered the other. The journal entries follow the growth of their relationship from a budding romance formed working together at a 50’s style diner, to a quickly growing intense relationship, climaxing with an ambiguous and disturbing ending.

Angered about moving to a new school after being kicked out by their dad, Jessie’s grey world completely changes when they fall for their French class partner and decide to master the French language. This pursuit engrosses their life until an upsetting discovery about her values makes them realise what they’ve been missing the whole time: self-worth, and solidarity with their mother.
