Jennifer Byrne recently completed a seven-month Boren Graduate Fellowship in Riga, Latvia, preparing her for a career in public diplomacy. The fellowship provided the opportunity for her to spend a year in Latvia with a goal of improving her fluency in both Russian and Ukrainian while studying Russian propaganda, disinformation, and media censorship.
