As the verdict was announced, his accusers were moved to tears as they embraced each other. Constand hugged the prosecutors. On the opposite side, sat Cosby, quiet, reserved.

Great Pacific Garbage Patch more than twice the size of Texas and growing

There's an 80,000-ton monster lurking in the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and California and it's still getting bigger. Arguably more frightening than any shark, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a rapidly growing hot spot for ocean plastic, carrying 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic in what is now the largest accumulation of ocean debris in the world, according to a new report Thursday in Scientific Reports.

'Smallville' actress Allison Mack freed to parents on $5 million bond

Raniere was arrested last month in Mexico after federal prosecutors accused him of coercing female members of Nxivm into having sex with him and branding them with his initials, among other crimes. Mack is prohibited from communicating with former or current members of Nxivm.

Trash talk: Super Bowl LII aims for zero-waste goal

The new zero-waste initiative will help fans dispose of their waste properly within the stadium and learn tips and resources for recycling at home. The waste will be hand sorted to compost organic material, while non-compostable, non-recyclable waste will be incinerated to heat local homes and businesses with the recovered energy.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar wins Pulitzer Prize for music

Lawsuit filed against Texas county in death of unarmed black man

Witnesses told police that Thomas, 34, with his pants down around his ankles, was talking to himself at an intersection in Houston on March 22 and hitting cars as they passed by, according to a Houston Police Department press release. The driver of one car got out and started struggling with Thomas.
