Writer, Reader, Creative Thinker & Dreamer!

United States

Hello! I am an avid writer and reader with a passion for writing as well as a positive attitude and boundless creativity. Additional strengths are my ability to work with others, good communication, flexibility, and willingness to learn new things quickly. As a new college graduate I’ve taken multiple creative writing and English classes focusing on fiction, non-fiction, script writing, and contemporary writing.

A little bit about me is that I'm from Alabama - born and raised! I have always loved to read ever since I could pick up a book, and I've always loved to write from the day I could write my own name! I wrote my first "books" in elementary school with stapled paper and doodled comics, leading up to poems and short stories as I grew. I read anything I could get my hands on even beyond my reading level from cook books to college textbooks, and that hasn't changed. I'm known for my endless imagination and love for creativity, especially storytelling and its many facets and forms. That passion has guided and gifted me with my skills and goals in life, to read and write for myself and fellow dreamers who see worlds and endless possibilities in words on a page.

When writing I usually focus on style and word choice, specifically show, don’t tell. I try to make the action more of a flow of visuals rather than a narration. When it comes to short, more abstract stories that are about a paragraph long, I prefer to use short sentences with a lot of hints to give the readers details that they can use to piece together what's going on and cause a reaction. For longer stories I want the reader to feel immersed in detail and visuals. I’m a visual person so I want my readers to have the same experience. I clearly love fiction and playing around with its genre and style, so I always try to see what I can write about next in what way.
