Jean-Pierre "JP" Conte is the managing partner of a San Francisco-based private equity firm and the founder of his family office, Lupine Crest Capital. A graduate of Colgate University and Harvard Business School, he began his finance career at Chase Manhattan Bank before joining the private equity firm and eventually leading it through decades of growth. His investment focus has centered on healthcare, financial services, software, and industrial technology, with board roles at companies including Signant Health and ConnectiveRx.
Beyond his business career, Conte has directed significant philanthropic resources toward education, scientific research, and environmental conservation. Through the JP Conte Family Foundation, he established the Conte First Generation Fund, which supports first-generation college students at several universities, including his alma maters Colgate and Harvard. He serves as a Colgate University trustee and has contributed $25 million to fund a new campus social center. Conte also sits on the boards of the UCSF Foundation and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. A $5 million contribution to UCSF established two endowed professorships focused on Parkinson's and neurodegenerative disease research, a cause connected to his late father's diagnosis.
