He is currently in his fourth year writing for the University Daily Kansan, the University of Kansas' student publication. He currently one of two Arts & Culture editors for the University Daily Kansan for the third semester. He also has experience in writing for the sports section as the volleyball beat writer. KU professor attempts to bring In-N-Out to Lawrence

Joe Walden is many things: a University of Kansas School of Business professor, an army veteran and a powerlifting world champion. However, students in his classes know him as an In-N-Out connoisseur. The moment the words "extra credit" come out of Walden's mouth, students pounce at an opportunity Walden said is the easiest five points any student could get.

Wonder Fair hosts event to shut out Inauguration Day

On Friday, the three-in-one art gallery, design shop and art supply store Wonder Fair on 841 Massachusetts St. opened its doors as a safe space for those looking to join together away from the Inauguration Day events. Wonder Fair offered attendees free zines, posters and other materials that gave tips on how to stay positive despite political unrest.

Lawrence shops welcome return of student business

The end of finals and beginning of summer is a time many students wait for the whole year; however, local businesses are left with fewer customers to market to. According to the University of Kansas Office of Research and Planning, 24,892 students were enrolled at the University for the fall 2016 semester.

Day in the Life: Graham Wehmeyer, who got a perfect score on the MCAT

In the middle of September, many students are finally grasping the concept of each of their classes. But Graham Wehmeyer, a senior microbiology major, was walking into the dreaded MCAT, or Medical College Admission Test, completely prepared. Seven and a half hours later, Wehmeyer became one of the few examinees to receive a perfect 45 on the MCAT.

Day in the Life: Bruce Hopkins gets third law degree at age 72

You can say you've had an interesting professor and a great classmate, but only a few in the School of Law can say they have had both, and with one person. Bruce Hopkins is a professor of the practice at the University, teaching students on nonprofit organizations and law while practicing that same law in Kansas City.

Adam Devine brings laughs to nearly sold out Lied Center

The two short words, "Heh, stupid," followed many jokes of actor-comedian Adam Devine's Thursday night stand-up show at the Lied Center. Devine is best known for his work on Comedy Central's "Workaholics," ABC's "Modern Family" and the "Pitch Perfect" movies, and his career path is still on the rise.
