I’m Jon-David “JD” Regis, a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Film, Television & Theatre and a passion for sports media, storytelling, and digital content. With a background in basketball and baseball, I bring an athlete’s perspective to the stories I tell and the content I create.
My experience spans live broadcasting, video production, podcasting, social media, and multimedia journalism. Through my work with Notre Dame Studios and other media organizations, I’ve developed a passion for creating engaging content that connects with audiences both on and off the field.
I’m also the creator of "Regis Reflections", a podcast focused on mental health and the experiences of student-athletes across the country. Through storytelling and conversation, I aim to give athletes a platform to share the parts of their journeys that often go unseen.
I’m currently pursuing opportunities in sports media, digital content, social media, broadcasting, and multimedia production where I can continue growing as a storyteller and make an impact through sports.
Created and produced a political health news post for KFF Health News, translating a timely policy and political story into accessible, engaging social media content. This work gave me hands-on experience in digital journalism, visual storytelling, and communicating complex health news to a broader audience.
My Substack is where I share sports journalism, commentary, and original perspectives on the biggest stories across sports. Through written storytelling and analysis, I explore topics ranging from the NBA and soccer to the intersection of sports, culture, and media.
