Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the ninth decade of the 20th century, as a child John Bills harboured dreams of becoming something of a Welsh Peter Venkman. It quickly became clear that this wasn't going to be happening, so a settled life as a care worker who wrote on the side was the next best thing. This developed further with the realisation that the writing didn't need to be on the side. It didn't even need to be on the plate. It could be the whole table.
Analogies aside, John now resides in Prague after spending 2 and a half years down in the lands of the former Yugoslavia. He enjoys writing completely pointless lists, researching the lives of obscure historical Slavs and existentialism. Fully committed to justifying the writer stereotype, John drinks five black coffees a day.
