John Knight

Writer, editor, proofreader, SEO — Linux Format, Maximum PC, APC, Linux Journal, Compute!'s Gazette

Australia

I've been a paid writer for twenty one years, primarily in the field of computing, though also in other areas such as motoring and music. I am SEO-trained.

Although I'm a technical person, I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps, with smooth-flowing language that is easy to follow. I am of the old school that prefers carefully edited, well-researched articles. In more recent years I have been in demand for historical features.

My chief body of work has been with publications Linux Journal (US), Linux Format (UK), and Maximum PC (US), as well as re-published articles in other Future Publishing subsidiaries, such as APC Magazine (Australia). I am also seeking further work in areas such as motoring, music teaching, language, and travel.

Please contact me if you are interested in my writing services, or if you have text that needs to be tightened or edited.

If you require my services, I can be reached at:
