I’m Johanna Duering, a London-based writer, copy editor and reader working across publishing and screen. I copy-edit and proofread digital features for The Publishing Post, write slow criticism on film and television culture for Film East, and review upcoming book releases for The Indiependent. Alongside my published work, I write manuscript reports for a literary scouting agency and review international festival submissions for Lift-Off Global Network across scripts, short films and feature films, supporting sifting, selection and award processing. I have also served as a first-round fiction assessor for the Nero Book Awards in collaboration with Brunel University. I’m currently completing a part-time PhD in Creative Writing at Brunel University London, with a specific focus on screenwriting.
