I’m a fashion and beauty journalist currently heading up Allthingshair.com for the UK market.

Caveats? I'm a caffeine and food junkie with a serious collection of nail varnishes and hair oils (because life is too short to wear just one colour of polish or to have dry hair, amirite?).

Headstands are my downfall, HIIT (literally) makes me weak at the knees and the crow pose continues to elude me.

Other noteworthy mentions: I spent the beginning of my career exploring the global trade show and fashion week circuit. I was previously the Catwalks Editor at Stylus Fashion and the Associate Events Editor at WGSN. I launched Homebuildlife-WGSN (now WGSN Lifestyle & Interiors) and Allthingshair.com; and contribute to Black Hair Magazine.

The aim has been to uncover the multiplicity of the mixed experience - and explore how age, gender, class and location all intersect to affect how multiracial people experience the world around them.

'People are shocked to learn I'm mixed-race - just because I have dark skin'

Jeanette Nkwate is head of content at All Things Hair UK. With a Filipino mother and a Cameroonian father, she says people don't expect mixed-race people to look like she does. 'Being mixed-race but not light-skinned, I've received interesting reactions from people of all backgrounds,' Jeanette tells Metro.co.uk.

We asked strangers to guess '90s movies and TV shows from just the outfits

LONDON - '90s movies and TV shows are pretty darn awesome. And, although time has moved on since then; these iconic shows and films are still just as relevant in 2016. The life lessons we learned from Clueless still ring true; The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is still a major source of fashion inspo.
