As acting President for Swing Kids I planned events for club and associated community members bringing in international instructor and musician talent for the encouragement of creative expression through swing dance and to foster community around the dance. I managed a team of seven volunteers and I managed a budget that dealt with $5000.00 plus in event expenses and $6000.00 in raised funds. I created a technical document detailing all aspects of club activities and responsibilities from menial tasks to overarching club goals.

Swing Kids Fall Dance | Facebook

Ready to have a blast? Come join WWU Swing Kids for our Fall Dance and Workshop day! Instruction by the infamous Ben White, Robin Nunnally, Mark Kihara, and Katie McMullen will be featured! Western Swing Kids, a social swing dance club, dedicated to creating free and friendly spaces for students to dance and to offering dancing lessons to beginning and intermediate dancers. The club is meeting weekly Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.

Spring into swing Swing Kids celebrates their 20th anniversary

On Saturday, May 30 the Swing Kids will be offering swing classes taught by nationally-renowned instructors, as well as holding a public dance in the lower half of the Majestic Ballroom located on 1027 North Forest Street.The classes are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and are open to beginners as well as advanced dancers.
