**I HELP BRANDS WITH UX COPY THAT IS CLEAR, CONCISE AND USEFUL TO GUIDE AND INSTRUCT USERS THROUGH WEBSITES AND APPS.**

Hi, I’m Jaffor, a UX Writer based in London, UK, with experience in health and mental health, digital marketing, and non-profit and social impact organisations. I’ve completed a UX writing course by the UX Writing Hub called UX Writing Essentials. I enjoy writing and the process of making words clear and understandable. I’m fascinated by how words can influence people within digital products.

I studied UX research during my Information Systems degree at City, University of London. I explored usability, functionality, and design issues of various websites and created wireframes using Balsamiq to illustrate possible redesigns of these sites.

My dissertation, Observing Serendipity in Online News, found that people come across useful information unexpectedly (i.e. serendipitously) when browsing online news websites. I provided novel design suggestions to help support designers in creating opportunities for serendipity in online news sites. It was accepted for presentation at the Association of Information Science and Technology Annual Conference (ASIST).

I’ve also demonstrated technical writing from my role as a Paid Search Exec. at MediaCom. I created multiple training guides on executing complex and systematic tasks for new starters. I’ve included several examples in my portfolio.

As a Freelance Content Writer, I’ve written blog posts for health and mental health clients in the UK, including Healthy For You, The Henry Centre, and Harley Therapy, in accordance with editorial guidelines to match tone and style.

Furthermore, I’ve completed a Content Marketing Certification by SmartBlogger and an email copywriting course in my spare time, Own The Inbox Challenge by Copy Posse.

(UX Research) Observing Serendipity in Online News

An academic research project involving interviews and screen-recorded observations which found that people come across useful information unexpectedly (i.e. serendipitously) when browsing online news websites. I found that while difficult, it is possible to observe serendipity in a controlled (i.e. lab) setting. I also made novel design suggestions for creating opportunities for serendipity in online news sites, which can help support designers in doing so. The project was graded as a 2.1....
