Growing up on a strawberry farm and being surrounded by storytellers, there is no wonder Jacinta, founder of JMB Freelance, fell in love with journalism and the land.

With more than 15 years experience in ag-communications, and news journalism, Jacinta now creates content to help business’ big or small deliver a captivating story to tell their audiences, through various forms of communication.

​As the previous Senior Journalist for Farm Weekly, Jacinta won numerous awards for her work, including Best Feature article.

Over the years, she has also worked for numerous Fairfax Media newspapers and magazines across Australia, and has experience working with Seven West news and ABC Radio and Broadcasting.

With this experience, she produced various hard hitting news and engaging content across various industries, with a strong focus on agricultural, equine, rural and regional news. 

In recent years, she has also worked with numerous large corporate business’ and government departments to create a variety of news and corporate communications, helping share key messages and develop valuable connections and relationships with key stakeholders across a variety of industries.

Combining her journalism skills and a genuine love for everything rural, Jacinta uses her skills to a variety of agricultural and regional clients, enabling them to grow engagement, followers, create quality content and make an impact.

Disaster assistance for Carnarvon

CYCLONE Olwyn has been declared a natural disaster, triggering government assistance for affected Carnarvon growers and communities. This assistance will come in addition to compensation from the Agricultural Produce Commission (APC), which was also announced this week. APC chairman Bill Ryan said 48 growers who contribute to a scheme under the APC would receive the compensation.
