Hayley Harris

Storyteller

United States

I am a storyteller and creative at heart. I love and appreciate art.

I am inspired and influenced to share stories of my surroundings and beyond. Relocating all over the globe throughout my life, and living in different places and cultures has shaped my unique point of view of people and the world. My best stories are rooted deep in personal experience, and cultural and interpersonal observation. As a writer and storyteller, immersing myself in various environments ignites my desire to continue interpreting my imagination, one story at a time through new visuals, perspectives, points of view, voices, and mediums.

A Virtual Guide Through the Sanctuary Museum

Before seeing any art piece, you must navigate through a low-lit foyer with dark walls, black screens and white words on the walls. Screens are mounted on the left and written content on the right, parallel on both sides. The screens are all shut off and act as a mirror of the words inscribed on the opposite side, until facing them - causing activation) This is the introduction to Sanctuary.

To The Ends of the Earth - New Art Examiner

Forest green painted walls are lined by white negative space. The color green is associated with life, harmony, and energy. An explanatory introduction and one thoughtful quote are also painted, but in white. I have an idea of what is to come next.

Akin to NYC

Writing About Place (written in 2017) I've been to New York City twice now. I spent my first time in NYC with my family for Thanksgiving in 201l – my junior year of high school. While we spent Thanksgiving at our family’s house in New Jersey, we ran errands around New York City the same day. My siblings and I rode around with Cousin Sean as he tells about New York City nightlife, Jay Z's 40 club, and how he gets mistaken for Jay Z sometimes… He kind of looks like Jay Z.
