Dan Qing Goh

I am Malaysian raised and born. At 16, I moved to Singapore alone so I could pursue my studies at a European international school. Then, I began my journey across the world. I spent my first semester of university in Berlin, Germany. While in Berlin, I learnt the important skills of intercultural communication and got the chance to practice my high school German. Following my amazing time in Europe, I moved to Boston, where I would spend the next 3 years completing my BA in History and International Relations at Northeastern University.

During my college career, I have written numerous research papers about topics that are of interest to me. The most notable being: the South China Sea crisis, Panda Diplomacy, and the influence of Anime in the rise of nationalism in contemporary Japan. Aside from that, I wrote for The Odyssey Online, where I published works on Asian culture and diaspora, utilizing my perspective as an international student. In 2018, I also completed a 6-month long internship with CNBC in Singapore, where I worked as a News Production Intern, helping to produce the daily news.
