Picture this: it's 9am on a Tuesday morning and you've managed to scrape yourself out of bed, make-up-less and rumpled for the depressing fifteen minute walk to your university campus. Feminism and Writing: A Review

Reading the above definition, you would be hard-pressed to object to feminism as a concept. It is clear from reading the 2012 "Global Gender Gap Report" that this equality has not yet been fully attained. Perhaps surprisingly, the UK ranks 18th on the list and has closed 12% less of its so-called "Gender Gap" than the highest ranking country: Iceland.

Jobs for Life - an outmoded idea?

With the rise of zero hour contracts and the economically driven cuts to many workforces, the concept of a job for life may seem a far fetched and unattainable one. People from an older generation often describe how they were tied to one job for the whole of their working lives and sometimes describe the disadvantages and claustrophobia associated with this.

Going up in smoke - the truth behind "The Union"

At 9.30pm on the 17th of July, a large group of festival goers waits for an aged come-back band to finally make an appearance. I am amongst the crowd. Interview with a real Vampire - and no, he doesn't sparkle

Have you ever been to a Twi-hard's house? If not, let me tell you how it goes. T-shirts, bedspreads, signed photos, posters, magazines and wristbands saying "Mrs Cullen" spill out of every room, the Cullen family tree is in pride of place in the kitchen, and my personal favourite: the "Top 50 reasons why I love Edward Cullen" toilet paper in in the bathroom.

Poetry bites - The Sea

In the soft shell of your ear Mediterranean waves lap gently like the whispers of children in ship hulls. Their stomachs roll, crashing against their ribs, for the sea is as still as that region which boils in its own anger.
