If you are hoping to spend some free time outside before the Kansas winter blows in, take a trip out to the University of Kansas Field Station. The 3,400-acre block of land is located just a few miles north of downtown Lawrence. The Field Station is home to the KU Medicinal Garden, which is used for various research projects.
