Fall Arts: Big Debuts in the Twin Cities

Inspired by the casual, hanging-out vibe of The New Yorker's "Talk of the Town" stories, I profiled three artists, plus one playwriting duo, set to debut big works in the fall. Those works ran the gamut: an "Office"-style mockumentary about a Hmong nonprofit; seven decades' worth of paintings and drawings comprising a career retrospective; a new orchestra conductor's first season; and the first Native-penned play to premiere at Minneapolis' most esteemed theater.
