She currently oversees digital content strategy for Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, with specific focus on social media and the BCBS Blog. Prior to joining BCBSA, she was instrumental in launching the content marketing function at Restaurant.com and served as director of media relations for the Chicago Wolves professional hockey team. The Colorado native is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications and a B.S. in Journalism and History.

The evolution of Wendell Young

When Wendell Young retired from his 18-year professional playing career in 2001, he went to lunch with then-Chicago Wolves general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff. "What do you want to do next?" Cheveldayoff asked. "I told him I wanted his job," Young laughed.

A Wolf with the heart of Dixie

By the time the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals rolled around, nearly every member of the hockey community was already enjoying the offseason. Chicago Wolves center Jared Ross was not, but he was certainly enjoying the alternative. The 28-year-old forward had a front row seat for hockey's final showdown after having been recalled by the Philadelphia Flyers for the playoff run.

Less than six months earlier, he had been across the hall in the Chicago Wolves dressing room, doused in champagne, surrounded by celebrating teammates and sipping from the American Hockey League's highest prize: the Calder Cup.
