Erik is an independent writer of fiction and aspiring journalist. A 2016 graduate of Vassar College with a major in English and minors in History and Greek and Roman Studies, Erik recently received an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Essex in Colchester, England.

Writing for local and online papers, Erik has covered a range of topics, from international politics to local interest pieces. As a fiction writer, Erik is currently working on his debut novel, a work of satirical fantasy.

Erik is currently based in Newark, Delaware.

Holy Angels festival celebrates diversity through food

The St. John's and Holy Angels parish communities came together Sunday to celebrate their diversity in a rather delicious way - by sponsoring an international food festival. Held at Holy Angels Church on Possum Park Road for the past seven years, the festival featured food and drinks from more than 20 countries, cooked and served by members of the community whose heritage comes from those countries.
