Ealasaid MacAlister

Freelance journalist

Having graduated in music I found I loved writing about it more than anything else. I began writing for the new bands panel for forfolkssake.com and quickly went on to doing record reviews and then features.
I very much enjoy live music and I've been writing live reviews for Ravechild and Music News Scotland.
As well as music my other passion is politics and I have written some pieces on politics for them. I particularly enjoyed following the Catalan elections and their independence movement.
I completed my NCTJ exams in 2015 and worked for new online news website Commonspace where I put what I had learned about digital journalism into practice.
I then began working in local news in Argyll and have been working there for nearly a year.
