Dylan Whitbread

I am a Multimedia Sports Journalism student with a passion for telling engaging football stories across digital platforms. My experience spans club media, freelance reporting and digital content creation, allowing me to develop strong skills in news writing, match reporting, feature writing and audience engagement.

Alongside my studies, I work as a freelance Leeds United reporter for Roundtable, producing daily news coverage on transfers, club developments and breaking stories. My role has strengthened my ability to research, write and publish accurate, SEO-optimised content under tight deadlines while reacting quickly to the fast-moving nature of football journalism.

Previously, I worked as a Media Assistant and Club Journalist at Barrow AFC, where I produced match previews, reports, programme features and live matchday coverage across the club's digital channels. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of both traditional sports reporting and the demands of modern digital journalism.

Beyond writing, I enjoy creating football content across social media and exploring new ways to connect with supporters through multimedia storytelling. Whether covering breaking transfer news, producing long-form features or analysing matches, my goal is always to inform, engage and deliver content that resonates with football fans.

I am eager to continue developing my career within the football and sports media industry, combining strong editorial standards with digital-first storytelling to produce content that reaches and engages audiences across multiple platforms.
