Dylan

Copywriter & Journalist

United States

My name is Dylan, and I love to write. I also love to talk, though listening is my more natural vibration. I am an introvert hidden in an extrovert's body. I enjoy writing about music, food, sport, and travel. I laugh at my own jokes.

I support several publications and companies as a freelancer on an ad-hoc basis. I am currently working as a reporter on the local music beat for Newcity Media. I cover local shows in Chicago and draft interview pieces featuring (sometimes very big) artists. I also ghostwrite on LinkedIn for founders of startups with a focus on SaaS, primarily at seed-to-Series A stages. Additionally, I support a PR agency as a campaign manager and content editor, representing the lynchpin balancing client expectations and service with campaign delivery. I also author press releases and high-impact written collateral circulated among Business Insider, Yahoo Finance, and AP News (among other outlets).

I write sophisticated, pithy, and useful copy to both satisfy and grow business deliverables. I write social copy for multiple clients across different industries daily and am happy to share those social profiles upon request.

I enjoy helping creative teams satisfy sales goals through better communication and storytelling. I am also interested in being of service by contributing to missions that bring grace and awareness to those less fortunate and substance use disorder recovery-oriented campaigns.

Additionally, from my previous career and life, I offer close to a decade of experience generating ~$MM revenue streams through sales and recruiting verticals oriented around technically savvy advertising products and software and engineering-centered headhunting. In these roles, I authored multiple sales and recruiting scripts and led and mentored dozens of Account Executives.

I am primarily available for journalistic and creative assignments at this time, though I will always consider interesting freelance advertising and content writing opportunities. I can be reached at [email protected] for either.

Review: Uwade's Debut Album, "Florilegium"

Uwade's music was flawless. The grace of her voice and her supporting cast melted the room. Sometimes, artists sound better live. Sometimes they sound better in the studio. Last Saturday, it felt like Schubas was Uwade's studio, and we heard her music exactly as it was meant to be heard.
