People used to always ask me, "What are you going to do with a Creative Writing major?" and I would always respond, "What I actually love doing". Because while some people graduate in a field they hate in exchange for a job they also hate, I am doing what I love every single day. Be it crafting stories, writing reports, or just emptying my head on paper it is the field I love and wouldn't trade for anything.
A short story I started as a college project, a post apocalyptic world crippled by an unknown virus. Currently a WIP.
My father had wanted to pitch the idea for a television show or movie based on his homeland of Hawaii, one that would showcase the history of Paradise. I created this sort of pitch for him, where young man is torn between love for his roots, tradition, and the new technological modern world and the woman he loves.
Continuing my journey in script writing and showing the story from different perspectives at different times.
My first real attempt at writing a script, constantly editing this trying to make it better.
A short story based on some on my own frustrations and dealing with my self-imposed isolation.
