Dawn Hartman Chiu

I am a freelance writer with over 20 years of experience, and am known for my ability to capture science and emotion into precise, meaningful communications. I enjoy the ever-changing science of health care, and have particular passion for projects and programs that can benefit patients directly, or indirectly through the nurses and physicians who treat them.

After graduating from Ithaca College with a BS, I began my career writing newsletters and ad copy for a figurine manufacturer and then quickly transitioned into pharmaceutical advertising, where I have spent the majority of my writing career. I have written numerous promotional and educational materials in various formats, including both print and digital media, as well as provided strategic support for optimal rollout of product and program launches. I have written for a range of target audiences, including physicians, nurses, patients, sales representatives, and managed markets.

Specialties: My primary area of expertise is oncology, but I also have experience researching and writing about immunology, hematology, urology, nephrology, and other health-related topics.
