Daniel Samson is an award winning best data journalist with emerging digital media in Tanzania, Nukta Africa. He specializes in business, environment, education and data reporting.
Mr Daniel, who is based in Dar es Salaam, is the current Chief Learning Officer leading the research and learning department which is responsible for coordinating training including data journalism conducted by the company or in partnership with other organizations.
He holds a B.A in Journalism from the University of Dar es Salaam.
Despite having training and mentorship roles, Daniel is a data journalist, editor and social media manager.
He has won several local awards such as Best Data Journalist in 2019 released by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and Education in Excellence Journalism Awards (EJAT) 2020 by Media Council of Tanzania (MCT).
Before joining Nukta Africa, Daniel worked with InfoNile as Data Wrangler, JamiiForums as Data Journalist and reporter at Business Times Limited.
