Housing insecurity can affect anyone in a community, regardless of age, race or gender - and it's an issue that isn't foreign to State College. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, housing insecurity is "an umbrella term that encompasses several dimensions of housing problems people may experience, including affordability, safety, quality, insecurity and loss of housing."
