Weezer. Just saying the name in conversation with music junkies garners a passionate response; nowadays people either love 'em or hate 'em, but the in-between is long gone. How did we get here? Twenty years prior, Weezer was everyone's favorite underdog alt-rock band of the 1990s.

By Max McKeon SCRANTON - Tucked away behind Coopers Seafood is Twenty-Five Eight, a production studio that hosts a variety of shows and events. The hidden studio, housed in an old abandoned warehouse, makes for a charming atmosphere; walking down a small hallway leads to a makeshift concert hall, complete with old couches and chairs for people to hang out and enjoy themselves.

BLACK KEYS CHANGE DIRECTION WITH TRANSITIONAL ALBUM

By Max McKeon Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are at the cross roads. The two core members of the Black Keys have developed a defining sound that listeners instantly recognize. Stumbling out of the gates with their debut "The Big Come Up" and making waves with "Rubber Factory" helped the band perfect its blues-rock sound until finding mainstream success in "Brothers."
